The Stovolds have been farming West Surrey for centuries. Over the last 100 years they have developed one of the most reknowned beef herds in the country. Based on pure Aberdeen Angus cattle and traditional grass feeding and management, the cattle produce some of the best beef in the world. Long-term hanging and Q Guild butchering ensure the quality.
Saddleback pork, a rare breed from the Lydling herd established to help preserve this pig breed, is also produced. It is a traditional breed and does carry fat, but the meat and crackling is out of this world.
Surrey Hills lamb and mutton is produced by farms in Surrey who farm under the Green Farm Program which audits the farm environmental standards and improves the long-term survival of Surrey's beautiful countryside. Lydling farm has undertaken the green farm program and has also won many prizes for its conservation work. The farm is run on extremely high environmental and welfare principals.
It is now possible for you to buy our products directly from the farm. This helps cut out links in the chain, so it will be cheaper, although the quality will be as high as ever. We always have available a large selection of frozen meat, from mince to steaks, from joints to braising - lamb, beef and pork. The more you spend, the more you save: £100 - 10% off, £200 - 15% off. We also will have fresh meat available on request, as well as more unusual cuts if required.
