Not only do we have our herds of Aberdeen Angus cattle but we also produce other livestock for meat and breeding stock. Many of our animals have won awards and we treat them all with the same care and attention as that we give to our cattle.


Saddleback Pigs

THE LYDLING HERD OF BRITISH SADDLEBACK PIGS

Started in 1992 the herd consists of 12 breeding sows and 3 boars. The herd was established to help maintain the Saddleback breed which is an endangered rare breed. All the pigs are kept free-range and you can come across piglets in the woods walking around Whirl Hill. The piglets are kept with their mothers for at least 8 weeks. Most are sold for breeding. The herd is high health and Blue ear negative.

The boar lines are STOCKBROKER, GOLDEN ARROW and DICTATOR.
The female lines are LASSIE, ALVIS, RED ROSE, GRAND DUTCHESS, BIDDY and IVY Breeding stock and rare breed meat always available.

The British Saddleback includes the Essex and Wessex Breeds.



    



Southdown Sheep

The Shackleford Flock of Southdown Sheep is developing again after a 40 year break and, like our Aberdeen Angus, will soon be producing fantastic meat.
